DR AMITA SHAH – PROFILE
Dr Amita Shah is a senior and vastly experienced gynaecologist in Gurgaon. She is extremely compassionate and conscientious doctor who combines human touch with clinical brilliance. Dr Shah has vast hands on experience in both obstetrics and gynaecology. She is a very strong proponent of normal delivery which is why more than 60% of deliveries done by her are normal delivery. Dr Amita has a properly structured ante-natal program aimed at getting an easy labour for the expecting mother and improving the chances of normal delivery.
Dr Amita Shah has been a top academic achiever throughout her studies. She is a graduate from prestigious King George Medical College, Lucknow which is one of the top ranked medical colleges in India. She was awarded with Dr Usha Sharma Running Trophy for being the “Best Junior Resident” in Obstetrics & Gynaecology. She completed here post graduation from LLRM Medical College, Meerut. With her passion for excellence in academics, she was bestowed with “Dhanvantri Gold Medal” for best performance by a Post graduate in MD examination.
Before joining Apollo Cradle she has been associated with Columbia Asia Hospital, Gurgaon where she headed the department of Obs & Gynae for more than 12 years. Infact she has been instrumental in establishing the department of Obsterics & Gynaecology at Columbia Asia Hospital, Gurgaon in the year 2008. She also worked with some of the best and established brands in Delhi & Gurgaon that includes Fortis La Femme Hospital, New Delhi, Holy Angels Hospital, New Delhi and St Stephens Hospital, New Delhi as a consultant and Senior Consultant in the department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
