Colour Doppler is a special ultrasound technique for imaging blood flow through a blood vessel, including the body's major arteries and veins in the abdomen, arms, legs and neck. It is an established non–invasive technique, predominantly to study blood flow. Color flow imaging is being used to determine organ expansion and functioning. There are four types of Doppler ultrasound: Continous Wave colour Duplex Doppler Colour Doppler Power Doppler is a newer more sensitive technique providing greater detail of blood flow, especially when blood flow is little or minimal. Always attend an established Ultrasonologist (radiologist).
