Thyroidectomy is the procedure of removal of part or complete thyroid gland through surgery. Thyroid is an important gland in human body that controls the entire metabolic function of the body. Types of Thyroidectomy in India

  • Grave’s disease which makes the body identify thyroid gland as foreign body and send send anti bodies to attack it. This leads to over production of hormones.
  • Goiter is another reason for thyroid surgery or thyroidectomy in India. Goiter is swelling or enlargement of thyroid gland.
